Our Founder

Heidi Linnartz, a member of Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School’s Class of 2025, is the founder of Blanketed in Love. Heidi was born and raised in Washington DC, where she developed a deep interest in urban communities and the particular issues that challenge women and children. In the context of the pandemic, Heidi followed topics related to DC’s vast homeless population as well as the uptick in women seeking support as victims of domestic violence during social distancing and stay-at-home orders. Blanketed in Love was created in an effort to help women and children in crisis.

 

When Heidi is not in school or running her blanket program, she enjoys participating in various extracurricular activities, such as playing the flute in her school’s orchestra and competing for her school’s math team. She also enjoys staying active by playing tennis and running.
